To avoid transfer fees, find the gun you want on our website, and have it shipped here to the store for local pickup! However, we can send and receive firearms to or from other FFL licenses if the need arises.
Transfer fee for firearms purchased elsewhere and picked up here is $45 per firearm, and a one time additional fee of $10.50 for the background check (One background check can cover multiple firearms in the same transaction). To transfer a firearm to Timberline, give our email address or phone number (info@timberlinesports.com / 970-625-4868) to the place you bought the firearm from. Have them contact us, and we will take it from there. Make sure they put your name and phone number in the package. We will call you when it gets here!
To ship a firearm to another FFL, bring in your current I.D. and the information of the location you want it shipped to. Most sporting goods stores with an FFL license will accept transfers. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to have an FFL lined up to ship to. Cost will be the actual shipping cost plus $50. Handguns must be sent no slower than 2nd day air.
When you bring a firearm in to be shipped, make sure it is not boxed up as we must read the serial number directly off the gun to put it in our FFL system. All packaging will be opened up if this isn't followed. No exceptions.
